645a2e16ed Fixed a simulator crash while trying to play a song. Fixed crossfade 
when selecting a new track to play. Most likely fixed a bug which
caused playback to stop on track change.

f894a4c269 4-shades greyscale graphics core for iriver H1x0. 4-grey rockbox logo and light grey background in splash() boxes. Simplified the splash() box creation as the new graphics core does clipping. Adapted screendump feature and added flexible preprocessing to construct the bmp header. Rockboy now uses 4-grey mode as well. 4-grey support for win32 simulator. Fixed win32 player sim to not use double bitmap conversion via a recorder-like framebuffer, and correctly display double-height text. X11 simulator temporarily adapted. The display won't be distorted, but it still shows b&w only.

74b731edc6 Major rework of the x11 simulator button handling. (1) Button repeat should always work correctly now, not sending a release before the repeat(s). Fixes e.g. calling the Ondio menu. (2) Button handling is done in the timer thread, not sleep()ing the main thread for extended times. Fixes slow performance of high-workload plugins (codec tests). (3) The x11 simulator now also contains the queue handling code. (4) The new code requires X11R6 because the multi-threading extension is used.

576d029ece Simulator: sim_rename() must not use off_t in the argument for the same reason as sim_lseek(). Removed parentheses around system function names as the function name mangling is done differently with the new build system.

6c33c51a4c Redesigned the button handling. The code now uses symbolic function defines instead of checking for specific buttons. This makes it easier to add support for new devices with different button layouts.

a6142ab7ab Finally, the archos directory sandbox works in the same way for both X11 and win32 simulators. Unfortunately, this breaks the VC++ compatibility. Also, the plugin API now supports DEBUGF. Last, but not least, we have a new plugin, vbrfix.rock.

81e309dd1a We had a few set_irq_level(15) left in the code, instead of the new set_irq_level(HIGHEST_IRQ_LEVEL). Only one was really used, in system_reboot(), creating a (unlikely) race condition.

ef7293f0bc New feature: NOw you can store the recorded files in either /recordings (the directory will be created automatically) or in the current directory. 
New feature: A "Create directory" menu option (untested in the simulator).
Bug fix: The ON+Play menu could do nasty things if you pressed ON+Play in an empty dir.

5040cc53ec Screen buffer transposed, such that bytes in X-direction are consecutive. This enables my turbocharged lcd_write_data() for regular screen updates. Please check the X11 sim, Win32 works.

e3403ecd9f this fixes the win32 simulator compilation 
the simulator does not use the firmare\include path, instead it uses standard header files
those header files that do not exist in the SDK are placed in the win32 directory (dir.h, sprintf.h)

0ca9ccbe63 Default window zoom for Recorder simulator is 2. 
You can change window zoom with the command line flags "--player_zoom" and "--recorder_zoom". Or you can set the environment variable RECORDER_ZOOM or PLAYER_ZOOM.

f9a912d850 Using the structures "rectangle" and "points" when drawing (Win32 doesn't have XPoint). 
Added the funtion drawrectangles() that is used for the player simulation.

ccfa84853a Many functions have been changed. 
The font will now be drawn in a more hardware-like style.
The "select arrow" is now looking bad, but will be fixed by Mats Lidell and
me later.

65de9c9167 Moved volume-icon a bit. More examine will be done later in order to look at 
the other icons. They seem to be too large for a real player screen.
The problem of the flickering screen is residing here somewhere...

fae212043b Using expose-event instead of resizerequest-event in order to be able to 
zoom the window.
Note that when you shrink the window, you must make it a bit larger again in
order to get it redrawn.
