Gigabeat S: Fully enable access to hardware tone controls and 3-D effect feature. Under the hood, it's designated a hardware equalizer since it is one. Implement code framework for hardware EQ in general. Menu aspect is well abstracted and so the UI and strings can be changed around if taste doesn't quite suit. Finally commit Metadata on Buffer! buffering.c and buffering.h implement the new buffering API. playback.c is translated to that API. For more information about the whole concept, see http://www.rockbox.org/wiki/MetadataOnBuffer. There should be no major visible changes, but most existing bugs remain (though fixing them should be easier now that playback.c is a bit less complex) and there probably will be new ones. Please report any problem! Lists can now be completly draw using the skin engine! due to lack of user feedback the actual tags may change, hopefully not though. The way it works is the skin specifies a rectangle and a viewport label. For each item in the list that is being displayed all viewports with the specified label are drawn. However, instead of the viewport x/y position being offset from the top left corner like normal they are offset from the rectangle position in the list (so think of them as child-viewports of the rectangle which moves). Normally the rectangle will move down the screen to show a normal list, this can be changed to move across the screen in a grid pattern. The UI viewport is used to bound the items (i.e %Vi() ) Scrolling is completly disabled in all items except the currently selected item. This works well in combination with the %cs tag to show differently styled lists based on the current screen :) New tags: %LT - Get the current items text %LI - Get the current items icon number %Lc - Use as a conditional to determine if the current item is the selected item %LB - BAR TAG to show the scroll bar, params/options like other bar types. It still needs a bit of work though. Initial custom statusbar commit. The custom statusbar can be used as a WPS for the main UI, using .(r)sbs files. It's using the skin engine and knows all tags the WPS also knows. The default folder for .sbs is the wps folder to reuse images used in the WPS. As it can be shown in the WPS also, it's useful to move shared parts to the custom statusbar in order to save skin buffer space. There are a few restrictions/TODOs: *) Peak meter doesn't redraw nicely(not frequent enough), as very frequent updates would slow the UI down as hell (some targets fight with it in the WPS already: FS#10686) *) No touchregion support as the statusbar doesn't have any action handling (it won't fail to parse though). *) Drawing stuff into the default VP is forbidden (loading images in it is not). You *need* to use viewports for the displaying stuff (parsing fails if no viewport is used). *) Themes that don't use a custom ui viewport can be fixed up using the new %Vi tag to avoid nasty redraw effectts (you must not draw into it as well, it's used to fix up the ui viewport). %Vi describes the viewport that the lists can use without getting in the way of the statusbar. Otherwise, it behaves like the classic statusbar, it can be configured in the theme settings, and can be turned off in the wps using %wd. Note to translaters: When translating LANG_STATUSBAR_CUSTOM, please consider using the same translation as for LANG_CHANNEL_CUSTOM if it's compatible. They could be combined later then. Album art support. Based on FS#3045, but heavily modified to adapt to MoB and for cleanness. The cover pictures are loaded from external bitmaps. JPEG and embedded art are not supported. The pictures will only be drawn on the main display. There is no resizing but it is possible to specify the WPS bitmap size in the bitmap names (e.g. cover.100x100.bmp). The bitmaps are stored in the main buffer and read directly from there. Currently, duplicate bitmaps will simply be present several times in the buffer, but this will be improved. To enable for a target, #define HAVE_ALBUMART in its config file. Commit FS#12150 - Fully-functional audio mixer - and finally whip old limitations about playback of voice and other sounds when paused. Channels are independent in state and amplitude. Fade on stop/pause is handled by the channel's volume control rather than global volume which means it now works from anywhere. Opens up the possibility of plugin sounds during music playback by merely adding an additional channel enum. If any PCM drivers were not properly modified, see one of the last comments in the task for a description of the simple change that is expected. Initial, work-in-progress, version of a WMA codec using Michael Giacomelli's fixed-point and malloc-less WMA decoder (based on the ffmpeg WMA decoder from early 2006, and also building on the work started by Paul Jones). The codec itself and the ASF parsing code were written by me, inspired by the ASF parser in libasf. Start of work on a port to the Archos 'AV300' (AV320/340/380) - a working UI simulator (but with a dummy background image for now) and the beginnings of the target-specific firmare code. Port is temporarily using a 2bpp LCD buffer format - the AV300 has a 320x240 colour (YCbCr-based) LCD which will need a new framebuffer format and drawing routines, but the LCD is also capable of various paletted bitmap modes, one of which has an identical framebuffer format to the greyscale ipods. Buttons (and hence the button mappings) are identical to the Archos Recorder, with the exception that the PLAY button on the Recorder is replaced by pressing the joystick on the AV300 (which I call BUTTON_SELECT). Current status is that the bootloader works to load Rockbox, but dual boot does not work: it freezes after decrypting the OF. Add HiFiMAN HM-60x target(s). FS#12319 by Andrew Ryabinin with some (small) modification by me. This also splits rk27xx lcd driver into lcdif-rk27xx and lcd controller specific part.
