c61a75173b Reorganise USB stack defines. Now config.h decides which class drivers get enabled instead of usb_core.h
Also enable HID, and use that as the dummy class instead of charging-only for controllers that have working interrupt transfers.

bac611868e FS#10114 - Sansa AMS : use IRAM for codecs on >2MB targets Rafaël Carré
Activates IRAM for AMS Sansas to be used by codecs and core. Fixes Reboot-on-mp3 and gives speed up on codecs using IRAM in general.
I've made a change: the core/codec ratio is 0x20000/0x30000 instead of 0x10000/0x40000, 0x30000 is way more than codecs currently use (0x14000 at max) and the core might need more than 0x10000.

0d935ce75e Put the display colours for monochrome and greyscale targets into the target config files, and use them both for the simulator UI and screendumps. The Clip now shows the split display properly in screendumps and simulator. A side effect is that screendumps of ordinary monochrome targets are now 4-bit BMP files (saves an alternate code path, and might be more compatible with some gfx programs). * Simplify the simulation of split display, and also simplify greylib simulation. The simulator now always calculates 129 shades (2*128 for a Clip sim), and just uses 2 (or 4) of those for native display simulation. * Centralised the simulator LCD dimension definition.

da76a34694 Use bus reset detection for all ARC OTG devices. Remove conflict from LV24020LP driver with some GPIO-by-number macros for PP502x. Start monitoring for USB stack once all core threads and queues are created otherwise queues will likely be registered after USB acks. Putting PP502x system_reboot in IRAM (unmapped, uncached) memory seems to help it work more consistently. Hopefully I got all the PP USB connect handlers in the right spot in irq_handler. If device seems unresponsive to cable, check there first.

5667682dd2 Gigabeat S: Implement charging and power control to charge from AC or USB. Hold MENU while plugging USB cable to charge from USB without connecting. Under Windows, plugging USB for charging only but not connecting still needs to be properly handled (driver popup issue) but it will charge when connected normally-- no issue under Linux. f2042983f0 Add the Sansa M200 (v1) as a target - it's extremely similar to the Logik DAX (the LCD driver worked unchanged). Plus various tcc77x work, including a working tick interrupt (enabled in the bootloader). Rockbox itself builds for the M200 (there are no keymaps yet for the DAX), but doesn't progress very far due to the lack of an ATA (NAND flash) driver.

94f7d0f290 UMS for the Gigabeat S. Bootloader USB mode. Has a couple quirks 1) First plug has problems if cold. Replug if it doesn't connect or not at high speed 2) Linux doesn't like the odd bootable flag value used in the partitions so it won't mount but Windows works. Fix minor OTG driver bugs and clean up device memory handling. Generic name for ARC controller driver.

05099149f1 Enable nocache sections using the linker. PP5022/4 must use SW_CORELOCK now with shared variables in DRAM (it seems swp(b) is at least partially broken on all PP or I'm doing something very wrong here :\). For core-shared data use SHAREDBSS/DATA_ATTR. NOCACHEBSS/DATA_ATTR is available whether or not single core is forced for static peripheral-DMA buffer allocation without use of the UNCACHED_ADDR macro in code and is likely useful on a non-PP target with a data cache (although not actually enabled in config.h and the .lds's in this commit).

27cf677339 Add a complete priority inheritance implementation to the scheduler (all mutex ownership and queue_send calls are inheritable). Priorities are differential so that dispatch depends on the runnable range of priorities. Codec priority can therefore be raised in small steps (pcmbuf updated to enable). Simplify the kernel functions to ease implementation and use the same kernel.c for both sim and target (I'm tired of maintaining two ;_). 1) Not sure if a minor audio break at first buffering issue will exist on large-sector disks (the main mutex speed issue was genuinely resolved earlier). At this point it's best dealt with at the buffering level. It seems a larger filechunk could be used again. 2) Perhaps 64-bit sims will have some minor issues (finicky) but a backroll of the code of concern there is a 5-minute job. All kernel objects become incompatible so a full rebuild and update is needed.

e66ddd754f Initial commit for the Olympus m:robe 100 port (PP5020). The LCD driver works. 28f6ae49ec Initial work on a port to the Logik DAX 1GB MP3/DAB player. The bootloader build compiles and runs (but only displays some debugging info), and the LCD and ADC drivers are working. Two different bootloader builds are possible: 1) The default build is just a test application for uploading to the device via tcctool; 2) Adding -DTCCBOOT to EXTRA_DEFINES in the build directory Makefile will compile the bootloader so that it can be appended to the end of the original firmware and installed on the device, dual-booting. This commit also includes some work by Hein-Pieter van Braam on a port to the iAudio 7, but that doesn't build yet. A large part of these ports will be generic to all TCC77x devices - see the TelechipsInfo wiki page for some other devices with this CPU. NOTE: Compiling these builds requires an arm-elf-gcc with armv5 support - the current version of rockboxdev.sh compiles such a gcc.

Introduced a new CPU_ macro for ARM7TDMI. Speedup for coldfire: -c3000 104%->109%, -c4000 43%->46%, -c5000 1.7%->2.0%. Speedup for PP502x: -c2000 66%->75%, -c3000 37%->48%, -c4000 11%->18%, -c5000 2.5%->3.7%

a9b2fb5ee3 Finally full multicore support for PortalPlayer 502x targets with an eye towards the possibility of other types. All SVN targets the low-lag code to speed up blocking operations. Most files are modified here simple due to a name change to actually support a real event object and a param change to create_thread. Add some use of new features but just sit on things for a bit and leave full integration for later. Work will continue on to address size on sensitive targets and simplify things if possible. Any PP target having problems with SWP can easily be changed to sw corelocks with one #define change in config.h though only PP5020 has shown an issue and seems to work without any difficulties.
