f0bec023d9 Implement volume limiter feature 
Add a "volume limit" parameter to the configuration file. The maximum
value of volume setting in sound menu will be limited to the same as
volume limit. Also each time when setvol() is excuted, Rockbox will
check if the global_settings.volume value larger than
global_settings.volume_limit. If larger, take the value of volume_limit
instead. The volume_limit argument shares the same maximum and minimum values
with volume argument, while taking the maximum volume as its default value.

d0918b98fa DSP Compressor: Sidechain, Exponential Atk/Rls 
This is an improvement to the current compressor which I have added
to my own Sansa Fuze V2 build.  I am submitting here in case others
find it interesting.

Features added to the existing compressor:
Attack, Look-ahead, Sidechain Filtering.
Exponential attack and release characteristic response.

Benefits from adding missing features:
Attack:
Preserve perceived "brightness" of tone by letting onset transients
come through at a higher level than the rest of the compressed program
material.

Look-ahead:
With Attack comes clipping on the leading several cycles of a transient
onset.  With look-ahead function, this can be pre-emptively mitigated with
a slower gain change (less distortion).  Look-ahead limiting is implemented
to prevent clipping while keeping gain change ramp to an interval near 3ms
instead of instant attack.

The existing compressor implementation distorts the leading edge of a
transient by causing instant gain change, resulting in log() distortion.
This sounds "woofy" to me.

Exponential Attack/Release:
eMore natural sounding.  On attack, this is a true straight line of 10dB per
attack interval.  Release is a little different, however, sounds natural as
an analog compressor.

Sidechain Filtering:
Mild high-pass filter reduces response to low frequency onsets.  For example,
a hard kick drum is less likely to make the whole of the program material
appear to fade in and out.  Combined with a moderate attack time, such a
transient will ride through with minimal audible artifact.

Overall these changes make dynamic music sound more "open", more natural.  The
goal of a compressor is to make dyanamic music sound louder without necessarily
sounding as though it has been compressed.  I believe these changes come closer to this goal.

e386e38ebe Added the screenshots for the Sansa Clip Zip manual. 
Missing screenshots:

Invadrox, which I can't find in the menu, but on IRC they said it's
for LCD only, so it should be removed.

Pacbox, Rockboy and Zxbox: it's unclear where to find the ROMs.

Poor quality image:
manual/rockbox_interface/images/sansaclipzip-front.png. It can work,
but my “artistic” skills are not enough. Anyway, the information on
the picture is correct.

All the screenshots were taken using the default theme and the
simulator compiled for the Sansa Clip Zip.

10d8717e94 Split sleep timer activation and default duration setting. 
Where before there was a single sleep timer menu option which handled
initiating/ cancelling a sleep timer as well as setting the default duration,
now there is one menu option to either start or cancel a sleep timer and
another to set the default duration that will be used for future sleep timers.

be10817e1c Option to constrain get_next_dir() to directories below global_settings.start_directory. 
When enabled, if the user has set "Start File Browser Here" (config.cfg:
start directory) to anything other than root and "Auto-Change Directory"
is set to "Yes" or "Random", the directory returned when an auto change
is required will be constrained to the value of "start directory" or below.

ea7a89606c FS#12293 Global default glyph setting in System > Limits > Glyphs To Cache. Defaults to 250. This saves a lot of RAM while still allowing non-English users to have adequate glyph coverage.

544a52d9eb Add "USB Hide Internal Drive" option for multidrive devices with software usb. 
This option allows accessing the card slot from "dumb" USB hosts like some car
audio systems that do not handle multi-LUN devices.

aa27d47782 Set the default battery capacity for ipod video properly depending on detected RAM size. 
Also set up a callback for the battery capacity setting (for all players) so changes take effect without having to reboot.

ed2cfb8c1d Don't (partially) apply changes to max entries in the file browser immediately. The setting affects a buffer that is allocated during boot, so code using that buffer should use the value that was in effect during boot. Add a note to the manual that a reboot is needed for the changes to be applied.

04043fd3ae autoresume: Manual: Clarify precedence rules for resume positions 
Resume positions stored in bookmarks take precedence over autoresume.

Technically, the resume position for the "Resume Playback" function
(which is also saved across power-off/power-on) also takes precedence
over autoresume.  However, there is no way for a user to tell as it is
identical to the autoresume position for the last-played track, so
don't highlight it in the manual.

b43b4936a1 Pick up the target rename completion in the manual started in r27823 ... this time taking care of the Iriver targets. This fixes a few issues with wrongly in- or excluded parts (e.g. pacbox missing from the H100 manual, invadrox wrongly included in the small H10 manual as the plugin's main.tex already used the new names without making sure they are there). If possible replace 'target name' \opts with sensible feature \opts. Fix small mistakes and break too long lines discovered along the way.

a1cf4ced83 Unify 32mb and 64mb ipod video builds - FS#11580 
Since memory on 32mb ipod videos is mapped twice, a 64mb build still has codecs and plugins mapped in a usable area. This means that all that needs to be done to support 32mb and 64mb boards with the same build is to adjust audiobufend to avoid using more than the actually present RAM.

5b47b89d16 First step of completing the target rename in the manual. Some target specific options were already renamed in the rest of the source (e.g. see r23883) but not where they are actually set - in the platform files - leading to parts included or excluded incorrectly. The problem exists for more targets, this commit deals with the supported Iaudios first. Rename 'x5' to 'iaudiox5' (do the same for 'm5' and 'm3'), fix small errors or add missing info related to them along the way, use more appropriate options and simplify code a bit where possible.

Use it in the manual instead of a built in list of models
Sort all features which aren't used in apps/lang/*

ced4080bc3 Manual: add \seriesimg to the OndioFM's and OndioSP's platform file and use it to clean up some Ondio specific screenshots. There are a few 'different to the Recorders' screenshots because Ondios don't have an RTC. Some were there twice to make them show in both manuals but not actually different - rename one of each real duplicate pairs to -ondio and delete the other. There are a few FM and SP specific ones that will stay as they are really different for the two (related to radio and recording).

ddb31c6ece Manual: add the new \seriesimg option to the 3 different Clip's platform files and rename all _screenshots_ which have 'sansaclip' in their name so that they contain 'clip' instead to make use of this new option. This way they can be used for all Clips even when \specimg will differ.

79a863b322 Replace COWON_D2_PAD with 'touchscreen' in manual button tables and text where appropriate - places where a touch area is meant and hence valid for all touchscreen devices. Makes the Onda VX777 manual build correctly.

7a72a291cb Add WPS hotkey for the D2, and make the tree hotkey only valid for non-touchscreen targets. This will have to be revisited if we gain touchscreen targets with tree hotkey capabilities.

f0e1cf038f Submit FS#11240 by Raphael Jakse. Allows to reduce volume on WM8985 to -89 dB (e.g. used for Cowon D2). Below -57 dB the line out is affected. The manual is updated accordingly.
