491458e418 Add wheel_status() function to the ipod "4g" button driver (i.e. all ipods excluding the 3G and 1st gen mini) to read the absolute position the wheel is being touched (0..95 - clockwise from top, or -1 for untouched), plus the wheel_send_events(bool) function to disable/enable sending normal scrolling events - based on patch #4721 from Mikael Magnusson.

2dbe428abc Fixed tlv320 mute problem at least for digital audio path. Analog bypass muting (during FM Radio listening) will require more drastic measures like powering down of part of the chip afaict.

e63e62b2a1 Detect charger connected on H10. No need to sleep(HZ) when powering off. 
More sensible USB support for H10: plugging in puts it into USB charging mode and leaves Rockbox usable, holding 'O' while pluggin in the USB cable will reboot the H10 (continuing to hold 'O' starts it up in UMS mode), holding any other button brings up the USB screen as previously.
Implement system_reboot() for all PP5020 devices.

a85044bf9e New scheduler, with priorities for swcodec platforms. Frequent task 
switching should be more efficient and tasks are stored in linked
lists to eliminate unnecessary task switching to improve performance.
Audio should no longer skip on swcodec targets caused by too CPU
hungry UI thread or background threads.

3d2e10bcbd Added remote backlight on hold option to players with remote hold switch. Disabled IRQs while reading pcf50606 ADC. This seems to have stopped buttons becoming unresponsive when using remote. Maybe fixes other button glitches as well?

Improvements to 20GB LCD driver - support for enable/disable, contrast adjustment, make the update code clearer and ~4% faster, support for flipping, support for invert. 9b1dd444b0 Fix display bugs with H10 LCDs (both 20GB and 5/6GB models). The 20GB LCD is actually a 128x160 LCD rotated 90 degrees, so we need to take account of this. The 5/6GB LCD is not rotated by 90 degrees but was treated as if it was (FS #5925, patch thanks to Thilo-Alexander Ginkel)

617b67e769 Display bitrate (Q value for Archos), samplerate, channels and recording format (M = MP3) in the statusbar in the recording screen. This is all new info for archos targets and I-river targets now have this info on the remote as well as the main screen

7d8c5aaf6a Make backlight fading work again on PP targets. The PP timer cannot handle a (real) cycle count of 1, the minimum is 2. This is now checked in timer_register() and timer_set_period().

a64f51e67d H10 LCD fixes. Now lcd_update_rect() works as it should. 5/6GB has different register defines than 20GB.

acc153f1c5 Irivers: Faster remote LCD update. Maximum speedup (without ticking reduction): +32% @11MHz, 2.5 times @45MHz, +45% @124MHz. The speedup is data dependent, the worst case (every pixel having the opposite value from the previous one, in LCD data order) would see no speedup (except @45MHz), but it's a highly unlikely case.

c9d66562af Initial commit of work-in-progress MPEG video player plugin based on libmpeg2. Works on all targets with colour LCDs, but most optimised for the ipod Color/Photo and Nano. It currently only plays raw MPEG-1 or MPEG-2 video streams (no audio). Also adds a new lcd_yuv_blit() function to the plugin API - currently only implemented for the ipod Color/Photo and Nano.

954b732654 Initial support and use for EEPROM memory on H120 & H140 players when 
Rockbox firmware has been flashed over original firmware (not yet

d8ac607418 Tagcache: Fixed runtime stats not being gathered when tagcache is kept 
on disk. Initial attempt to make tagcache thread safe. Replaced a few

184c3da1a5 Gentlemen, we have sound on the 3rd Generation ipods. Thanks to Daniel Ankers for debugging. It turns out the problem was simply that we were calling the FIQ handler incorrectly - everything else was fine.

f9b20914e6 volume_strip() now ignores multiple leading slashes like the rest of the path handling code. Fixes the stats plugin only counting the internal flash on Ondio, and other potential problems. Posix says multiple slashes are legal. * More precise volume name check.

2de6604e3a Iriver recording: Always route the signals through the coldfire audio interface for monitoring. Advantages: (H1x0) Enables parallel analog and SPDIF monitoring of both analog or SPDIF sources. When recording from SPDIF, the SPDIF monitor signal is pure pass-through. (all) Digital clipping is now audible in the analog monitor signal.

a4bfe37c6c Optical S/PDIF recording and monitoring for Iriver H1x0. Removed unsupported recording options on Iriver. Sample rate displayed in recording screen reflects the real S/PDIF sample rate when doing S/PDIF recording. Testing would be appreciated. Thanks to Jens Arnold for fixing the DMA hang issue. 8e71f90940 The recording buffer should not try to use the voice buffer, so map our buffer after it. On swcodec targets, recording always uses this buffer so always notify the others that we did. Fixes bug 4754.

a8b0a6de2f ATA driver: * Don't lie to gcc about which parameters the assembler optimised loops touch. Fixes problems with higher optimisation levels. Some slight tweaks for SH1. * Prevent the assembler loops from being inlined as this is less efficient than having them in IRAM (only relevant at higher optimisation levels).

a7c20ac760 Replaced remaining '#pragma interrupt' with __attribute__((interrupt_handler)). It's cleaner this way, and fixes sh-elf-gcc 3.4.x builds with -Os or -O2.

96dce1d3b7 SH targets: Protect against a gcc 3.3.x bug triggered by -O2 or -Os, in preparation for switching to -Os. Workaround could be removed again for gcc 3.4.x.

2aa85a2b6a Iriver: Reworked remote detection & init: * Monitor the remote type & try to init the LCD for 20 seconds after plugin. Fixes wrong type detection & non-working LCD when plugging in slowly, and inits much faster if the remote is already plugged at boot (no delayed logo). * Don't try to init the LCD for a non-LCD remote in order to save CPU power. * More precise scroll timing, taking drawing time & other delays into account.
