60b01fa0f7 Straignten out some issues with HAVE_LCD_ENABLE. 1g/2g/3g had it defined but it shouldn't have been. lcd_enabled() was only available as a real function on gigabeat but others can use that too. Markup lcd.h a bit because I got a bit lost in it.

1bc3b7feb2 PP5002: Clock setup cleanup. * Switch to 80MHz when boosted like on the other PP targets. * Prepare sleep mode by adding CPUFREQ_SLEEP. This is already confirmed working, but a lot of functions in rockbox will probably hang because the microsecond timer isn't running in this mode.

ebc076bc15 Remove the hack which read the ipod hardware revision from flash in the bootloader and passed it to Rockbox via a fixed address in SDRAM. Rockbox now remaps flash and so can just read the value itself. Also clean up the debug menu a little - only display the hw revision for ipods, and add the lcd_type variable to indicate the type of LCD (0 or 1) for ipod Color/Photo.

c72824786a Initial, work-in-progress, version of a WMA codec using Michael Giacomelli's fixed-point and malloc-less WMA decoder (based on the ffmpeg WMA decoder from early 2006, and also building on the work started by Paul Jones). 520274219a Initial commit of Monkey's Audio (.ape/.mac) support. Note that Monkey's is an extremely CPU-intensive codec, and that the decoding speed is directly related to the compression level (-c1000, -c2000, -c3000, -c4000 or -c5000) used when encoding the file. Current performance is: -c1000 to -c3000 are realtime on a Gigabeat, -c1000 is realtime on Coldfire targets (H100, H300 and Cowon), and nothing is realtime on PortalPlayer targets (iPods, H10, Sansa). Hopefully this can be improved. More information at FS #7256.

c5d71aab16 ATA driver: * Support for drives with large physical sectors and no support for partial access in the firmware (i.e. Toshiba MK8010GAH - iPod G5.5/80GB). Sequential writes with a single 512-byte buffer to that disk are really slow, so this is an intermediate solution that allows to adjust the FAT driver and the file system gradually. * Assume multisectors = 16 if the value reported by the drive is invalid (also MK8010GAH).

e22b33ec72 Gigabeat LCD driver cleanup: Revert the DMA optimisations to the gigabeat LCD driver - they are both buggy (the wrong background colour was often seen, e.g. in the USB screen after using a plugin) and significantly slower than the standard implementations (which use the ARM-optimised mem* functions) in lcd-16bit.c. lcd_clear_update was 4.5 times slower with DMA when a backdrop is in use, and 12 times slower with DMA when no backdrop is in use.

d95c39072a Portal Player: Add invalidate_icache and flush_icache. Flush the cache on the core for newborn threads. In doing so, move more ARM stuff to the target tree and organize it to make a clean job of it. If anything isn't appropriate for some particular device give a hollar or even just fix it by some added #ifdefing. I was informed that the PP targets are register compatible so I'm going off that advice. The Sansa likes it though.

165f62d0cd Fix a hole in the scheduler where collisions between waking blocked threads in mutexes with interrupts waking blocked threads in message queues can occur. Queue posts will put the threads on a separate list that is then added to the running list with IRQs disabled on the next task switch or CPU wakeup. Basically no overhead for other operations. Seems a likely cause of my occasional observation of the backlight fade causing playback threads to stop running and a recently reported blocking violation upon USB plugging. Time will tell but banging the backlight on and off frequently hasn't hiccuped again for me on H120.

b425de71df Fix problem with recording screen creep and bag a bigfoot. Voice clips aren't long enough now to untrigger the thread boost that was supposed to be applied to the codec thread. The voice thread was needlessly boosting the codec thread and leaving it boosted which explains the encoders' ability to flood the output buffer when everything else was stopped in its tracks. Check which thread is calling pcmbuf_under_watermark and only initiate the boost when it's the codec thread. Always return the codec thread to its usual priority in pcmbuf_play_stop.

a7fabf0741 Add software based bass/treble controls for targets which have no such functionality in hardware (currently only X5). They can also be used on any other SWCODEC target by adding #define HAVE_SW_TONE_CONTROLS in the relevant config-*.h file. Also remove some now unneeded zero checks when using get_replaygain_int(). Comments on sound quality are welcome as some parameters can still be fine-tuned.

d4e904bf35 SWCODEC: Dsp speed optimizations. Changes for more modularity. Removal of some usless stuff. Some assembly routines for Coldfire with speed in mind over size for the outputs but the channel modes remain compact. Miscellaneous coldfire asm updates to accomodate the changes. Codec API structure version has to increase so do a full update.

3a6d4791d7 No functional changes, just reorganising code:
1) Move ARC OTG USB (used in PP502x) driver code into it's own file, drivers/arcotg_udc.c. Hopefully in the future we will be able to adapt more of the Linux driver and add it to this file.
2) Rename mx31.h to arcotg_udc.h to reflect the file the code came from. It's also a more accurate name for the USB controller.
3) Get rid of one more inl()/outl() in usb-pp.c and use the relevant #define instead.
4) Add dr_controller_stop(). Not used yet.
