Use bus reset detection for all ARC OTG devices. Remove conflict from LV24020LP driver with some GPIO-by-number macros for PP502x. Start monitoring for USB stack once all core threads and queues are created otherwise queues will likely be registered after USB acks. Putting PP502x system_reboot in IRAM (unmapped, uncached) memory seems to help it work more consistently. Hopefully I got all the PP USB connect handlers in the right spot in irq_handler. If device seems unresponsive to cable, check there first.

USB retweaking: Take out the USB_REQUEST/RELEASE_DISK scheme and simply ask the USB core whether or not any drivers require exclusive access at the moment of connect. Doing anthing else just produces nasty effects on Windows because it expects some communication just for enabling the PHY and not allowing it to mount volumes if a thread doesn't ack causes annoying error message boxes. Make behavior of each USB type identical from the system perspective. Some miscellaneous changes (simplify, ata->storage naming, define only used USB_* enums values were possible).

Decouple the statusbar drawing from the rest of the screen drawing. it is not drawn roughly 4x per second automatically.
...
viewport_Set_defaults() will setup the given viewport with the correct "full screen" dimensions (so start at 0,0 if statusbars are disabled or 0,8 if they are enabled.)
All screens should keep the statusbar enabled, but if you really want to ignore the user setting you can disbaled it with viewportmanager_set_statusbar(false).

Reclaim a bit of binsize on hdd based archoses by making the bit test unsigned. On SH1, gcc optimizes this by using a right shift, and a signed '1' made it use an arithmetic right-shift-by-n, which is a libgcc function on SH1. This was the only place in the core using it. No effect on other architectures.

Have drivers merged for WM8711/21/31 since they are so similar but respect all register differences between codecs. Change minis to #define the actual codec type. If anything breaks check if OSCPD and CLKOUTPD need to be clear for the target- H10 is fine. A nice naming convention suggestion for WM codec multidrivers would be welcome rather than naming for a specific chip.

Implement chasing bitswap for reading. Speeds up reading single 512-byte blocks by 15..20%. * Restructure the write buffer handling a bit, making it more readable and a bit smaller. Also fixes an old corner case bug: writing data from address 0x0 (archos boot ROM dump) would have written wrong data.

Simplify & fix the MMC driver. After more than 3 years I found that the MMC specs were a bit misleading, and the 'large' MMC which state a block size of 1024 or 2048 bytes and no partial read and/or partial write capability are happily accepting a block size of 512 bytes. So go KISS and remove all the variable/partial block handling code. This fixes the driver for the Transcend 4GB MMCplus, which doesn't cope when we actually set the 2048 byte block size it states. It also makes write operations involving small blocks faster and more reliable. * Note: The 4GB Transcend still doesn't work when plugged at boot, but works when hotplugged.

FS#9051 - remove LCD margins... use viewports if you need them...
...
NOTE to WPS people....
%m has been removed, but (i think) because of the other %m tags it wont fail if you try loading a wps with %m|..|, it will just be ignored.
Also note that if the statusbar is enabled the default viewport is 8 pixels shorter than when its not, i.e (0,0) is really (0,8) if the statusbar is shown... I dont think this will be a major issue because almost no WPS show the bar and use bitmaps... text only WPS shouldnt be affected.
Please report problem screens in http://forums.rockbox.org/index.php?topic=17358.0

Add the Sansa M200 (v1) as a target - it's extremely similar to the Logik DAX (the LCD driver worked unchanged). Plus various tcc77x work, including a working tick interrupt (enabled in the bootloader). Rockbox itself builds for the M200 (there are no keymaps yet for the DAX), but doesn't progress very far due to the lack of an ATA (NAND flash) driver.

Enable nocache sections using the linker. PP5022/4 must use SW_CORELOCK now with shared variables in DRAM (it seems swp(b) is at least partially broken on all PP or I'm doing something very wrong here :\). For core-shared data use SHAREDBSS/DATA_ATTR. NOCACHEBSS/DATA_ATTR is available whether or not single core is forced for static peripheral-DMA buffer allocation without use of the UNCACHED_ADDR macro in code and is likely useful on a non-PP target with a data cache (although not actually enabled in config.h and the .lds's in this commit).

Add a complete priority inheritance implementation to the scheduler (all mutex ownership and queue_send calls are inheritable). Priorities are differential so that dispatch depends on the runnable range of priorities. Codec priority can therefore be raised in small steps (pcmbuf updated to enable). Simplify the kernel functions to ease implementation and use the same kernel.c for both sim and target (I'm tired of maintaining two ;_). 1) Not sure if a minor audio break at first buffering issue will exist on large-sector disks (the main mutex speed issue was genuinely resolved earlier). At this point it's best dealt with at the buffering level. It seems a larger filechunk could be used again. 2) Perhaps 64-bit sims will have some minor issues (finicky) but a backroll of the code of concern there is a 5-minute job. All kernel objects become incompatible so a full rebuild and update is needed.

Remove sector 0 write protection from the ATA and MMC drivers. The one in the ATA driver makes it impossible to change sector 0 from within rockbox USB mode, and nobody reported having seen that sector 0 panic for a loong time. Afaik it dates back to when ATA and filesystem write support were developed.

Commit FS#8379 by Andree Buschmann. Disables much of the remaining unneeded hardware on PP50xx targets (Ipods, Sansa, H10s, etc) resulting in a large savings in power and consequent increase in battery life. Results vary from target to target and from codec to codec, but we now approach the OF runtime on several PP devices. For now, leave base CPU clock at 30MHz, although further savings is possible with some codecs if clock is reduced. Additionally, fix battery capacity on c200 and use my measurements to improve runtime estimation for Sandisk targets.

Use the timeout API as a oneshot for headphone plug debouncing. Set at 1s for now which seems comfortable and was good for meg-fx but target-specific adjustment is easy enough (my 3G hp jack is dead so I can't check that one :( ). Do some minor rearrangements for init safety and consistency.

Add the viewport functions to the screens API, including a new getfont() function to return the font used by the current viewport. A change to the screens API makes the plugin API incompatible, so we bump version and sort. Also commit the test_viewports plugin (not built by default). This is some more of FS#8385.
