741012004b Disabled Musepack seeking, since it's so slow that most users conclude the codec has crashed. Left in original seek code for those who're aware of the issue and want seek support.

fca6b63ef7 Fix bug with FLAC and ALAC output being half the correct volume. The DSP_SET_SAMPLE_DEPTH function expects needs clarifying or changing - it seems to expect one less than the number of bits in cases where the depth is greater than the native depth (16 bits).

29c7da9e69 Don't copy the data from the audio buffer - request_buffer() guarantees to always return up to GUARD_BUFSIZE bytes, even at the buffer wraparound point. This removes the need for the 32KB static input buffer.

dff9352430 Initial seeking support. This only seeks to the nearest point (before the target sample) in the seektable. NOTE: not all FLAC files have seektables - some front-ends have the skill to create FLAC files without them. You can add seek points every 10 seconds to a FLAC file with the command: metaflac --add-seekpoint=10s file.flac

f1844c4166 1) Always enable the DSP. 2) Change codec to output one 32-bit array per channel containing samples left-shifted to 28-bits (instead of 16-bit interleaved samples). 3) Remove the two 16KB internal predicterror_buffer arrays (we use the output arrays instead) 4) Small internal rearrangement of the code.

c52f7f1b5e iRiver: Fixed broken items skipping on playlist: Now skipping and 
marking them as bad instead of deleting the entries from playlist.

abd9f83e92 Two new sections for IRAM usage: .irodata (selectable with the ICONST_ATTR attribute macro), allowing to put 'const' data into IRAM without causing a section type conflict, and .ibss (selectable with the IBSS_ATTR attribute macro) for uninitialised data. * Rockbox core: Adjusted the linker scripts and init code to not include the .ibss section in the binary, it is cleared instead. Saves ~500 bytes on archos and ~30KB on iriver. Codecs and plugins don't handle .ibss in a special way yet. * The init code properly handles empty sections now (except .stack, which should never be empty). * Unified the init code for SH1 and coldfire a bit.

c91e0bbfc9 Cleaned up the messy codec header and library system by merging codec.h, lib/codeclib.[ch] and lib/xxx2wav.[ch] into just codeclib.[ch]. Deleted much of the unused code in the xxx2wav portion. All codecs should now only include codeclib.h, and whatever codec specific headers are needed.

7d51325b1d Skip buffer refill after end of playlist (conf_watermark == 0). With 'move to next folder' enabled, the last song in the folder was being buffered a second time if filebufused == 0 and the end of the playlist had been reached. This caused moving to the next folder to fail on some Vorbis files.

1f39f2e748 Ported the memory guard debug feature to coldfire, using the breakpoint logic. There are 3 shortcomings compared to SH1: (1) While the setting itself survives RoLo, it cannot be read back because the debug module programming model is write only. (2) system_reboot() from a 'Debug' exception doesn't work because the CPU enters emulation mode, and the only way leaving this mode is via an rte instruction. (3) (fixable) Catching write accesses to the flash doesn't actually do anything because the flash memory area is set write protected in CSMR2, so a write attempt stalls the bus. * Cosmetic changes in system.c

ab78b04680 Implemented directory caching. No more waiting for disk to spin up while 
browsing when cache is enabled (system -> disk -> enable directory

af48260399 Modified the viewers.config syntax slightly. The name field should now include

cfb073c452 Coldfire: New timer handling on CPU frequency change, adjusting the prescaler on the fly, for both tick and user timer. Precondition is that the higher frequencies are integer multiples of the base: now NORMAL is 45 MHz and MAX is 124 MHz. Removes the need for applications with longer timer periods (>= 10 ms) to boost the CPU all the time, e.g. the grayscale lib. Timer counts are now always based on the base frequency (CPU_FREQ). * Adjusted the RAM refresh timers to the new frequencies (all frequencies for H100) * All: Fixed the tick timer count being off by one.

05042affc7 Core: A graphics framework can now register a hook function to extend the core screendump routine. * Grayscale library: (1) Changed the screendump routine into a hook, and implemented it for H1x0. (2) The planar pixel setting routines now use one register less. Fixes build problem with developer builds (frame pointers enabled) on coldfire.

f0fe3c9477 Fix some WavPack bugs by forcing DSP use even when not needed for sampling rate 
conversion or ReplayGain. Costs about 12% boost ratio when DSP would not have
been used before.

1a40e10933 H1x0: Changed lcd_blit() and the grayscale library to use the same internal format as on archos (1bpp). While the slowdown of the ISR is minimal (the intermediate buffers are in IRAM), the planar grayscale buffer takes only half the space for a given depth, and gray_update[_rect]() and unbuffered drawing/scrolling are faster because less data needs to be moved. It should also make porting of video.rock somewhat easier. * Archos recorders, Ondios: Some slight optimisations of the grayscale library.

0dd0d3134d Fix for the problem that the iriver would not auto poweroff if a file had been played. Pointed out by Stephan Wezel in patch #1298779. Tested, and pause still remains on if skipping tracks, but if this causes problems, revert it.

9f41c6c11e Workaround for ALAC files that previousy wouldn't play. Libalac now skips unknown chunk IDs. Time display and seeking is broken for those files (the ones that played before still work). Patch by Alyssa Milburn.

b5f3365554 iriver: proper wav file handling by Frederic Devernay (patch #1245261). Adapted the metadata part to the new metadata.c, and did a few minor changes in the codec. Some of the file format checks in the codec should IMHO be moved to metadata.c, but I left that for later.

ba966c1761 Archos recording/playback: (1) Xing header creation: * Now estimates the framecount from the recording time if the MAS frame counter saturates, so it always writes a valid Xing header. * Reverted my brainless short-xing-header change. This was only valid for layer 3. (2) Xing/VBRI header evaluation: Fixed possible overflow in bitrate calculation. (3) MPEG thread: Avoid double chunk size limiting for the rare case of 8 MB modded Ondios.
