f2042983f0 Add the Sansa M200 (v1) as a target - it's extremely similar to the Logik DAX (the LCD driver worked unchanged). Plus various tcc77x work, including a working tick interrupt (enabled in the bootloader). Rockbox itself builds for the M200 (there are no keymaps yet for the DAX), but doesn't progress very far due to the lack of an ATA (NAND flash) driver.

94f7d0f290 UMS for the Gigabeat S. Bootloader USB mode. Has a couple quirks 1) First plug has problems if cold. Replug if it doesn't connect or not at high speed 2) Linux doesn't like the odd bootable flag value used in the partitions so it won't mount but Windows works. Fix minor OTG driver bugs and clean up device memory handling. Generic name for ARC controller driver.

05099149f1 Enable nocache sections using the linker. PP5022/4 must use SW_CORELOCK now with shared variables in DRAM (it seems swp(b) is at least partially broken on all PP or I'm doing something very wrong here :\). For core-shared data use SHAREDBSS/DATA_ATTR. NOCACHEBSS/DATA_ATTR is available whether or not single core is forced for static peripheral-DMA buffer allocation without use of the UNCACHED_ADDR macro in code and is likely useful on a non-PP target with a data cache (although not actually enabled in config.h and the .lds's in this commit).

27cf677339 Add a complete priority inheritance implementation to the scheduler (all mutex ownership and queue_send calls are inheritable). Priorities are differential so that dispatch depends on the runnable range of priorities. Codec priority can therefore be raised in small steps (pcmbuf updated to enable). Simplify the kernel functions to ease implementation and use the same kernel.c for both sim and target (I'm tired of maintaining two ;_). 1) Not sure if a minor audio break at first buffering issue will exist on large-sector disks (the main mutex speed issue was genuinely resolved earlier). At this point it's best dealt with at the buffering level. It seems a larger filechunk could be used again. 2) Perhaps 64-bit sims will have some minor issues (finicky) but a backroll of the code of concern there is a 5-minute job. All kernel objects become incompatible so a full rebuild and update is needed.

e66ddd754f Initial commit for the Olympus m:robe 100 port (PP5020). The LCD driver works. The ADC driver was copied from the H10 port (they can probably be combined later), but the battery readings aren't right and it shuts down. The touch pad buttons do not work. Install the bootloader and rockbox the H10 way. Still lots of work to do.

28f6ae49ec Initial work on a port to the Logik DAX 1GB MP3/DAB player. The bootloader build compiles and runs (but only displays some debugging info), and the LCD and ADC drivers are working. Two different bootloader builds are possible: 1) The default build is just a test application for uploading to the device via tcctool; 2) Adding -DTCCBOOT to EXTRA_DEFINES in the build directory Makefile will compile the bootloader so that it can be appended to the end of the original firmware and installed on the device, dual-booting. This commit also includes some work by Hein-Pieter van Braam on a port to the iAudio 7, but that doesn't build yet. A large part of these ports will be generic to all TCC77x devices - see the TelechipsInfo wiki page for some other devices with this CPU. NOTE: Compiling these builds requires an arm-elf-gcc with armv5 support - the current version of rockboxdev.sh compiles such a gcc.

06aca924f8 Further optimised the filter vector math assembly for coldfire, and added assembly filter vector math for ARM. Both make use of the fact that the first argument of the vector functions is longword aligned. * The ARM version is tailored for ARM7TDMI, and would slow down arm9 or higher. Introduced a new CPU_ macro for ARM7TDMI. Speedup for coldfire: -c3000 104%->109%, -c4000 43%->46%, -c5000 1.7%->2.0%. Speedup for PP502x: -c2000 66%->75%, -c3000 37%->48%, -c4000 11%->18%, -c5000 2.5%->3.7%

a9b2fb5ee3 Finally full multicore support for PortalPlayer 502x targets with an eye towards the possibility of other types. All SVN targets the low-lag code to speed up blocking operations. Most files are modified here simple due to a name change to actually support a real event object and a param change to create_thread. Add some use of new features but just sit on things for a bit and leave full integration for later. Work will continue on to address size on sensitive targets and simplify things if possible. Any PP target having problems with SWP can easily be changed to sw corelocks with one #define change in config.h though only PP5020 has shown an issue and seems to work without any difficulties.

82f9056988 Dual core support for PP502x players (iPod G4 and later, iriver h10, Sansa - iPod G3 will be coming soon.) This allows threads to be run on either core provided that all communications between the cores is done using uncached memory. There should be no significant change in battery life from doing this. Documentation (on the RockboxKernel wiki page) will follow shortly.

d64e626387 Start of work on a port to the Archos 'AV300' (AV320/340/380) - a working UI simulator (but with a dummy background image for now) and the beginnings of the target-specific firmare code. Port is temporarily using a 2bpp LCD buffer format - the AV300 has a 320x240 colour (YCbCr-based) LCD which will need a new framebuffer format and drawing routines, but the LCD is also capable of various paletted bitmap modes, one of which has an identical framebuffer format to the greyscale ipods. Buttons (and hence the button mappings) are identical to the Archos Recorder, with the exception that the PLAY button on the Recorder is replaced by pressing the joystick on the AV300 (which I call BUTTON_SELECT). The initial port will begin by being strictly HWCODEC, but will evolve to be a hybrid SWCODEC/HWCODEC platform - it has a MAS3587F but also a main CPU (54MHz arm7tdmi plus DSP) capable of software decoding of at least some formats.

9e8fe0e4c6 General: changed local adc to voltage conversions in several places to use battery_voltage. Added battery_read_info function for unfiltered battery information. x5: removed adc_read as a distinct function. Removed adc tick task. adc_init is empty inline. Adjusted battery scale, voltage to level array and read 10 bits from the ADC for battery since 255 levels is not enough for true centivolt resolution.

abd9f83e92 Two new sections for IRAM usage: .irodata (selectable with the ICONST_ATTR attribute macro), allowing to put 'const' data into IRAM without causing a section type conflict, and .ibss (selectable with the IBSS_ATTR attribute macro) for uninitialised data. * Rockbox core: Adjusted the linker scripts and init code to not include the .ibss section in the binary, it is cleared instead. Saves ~500 bytes on archos and ~30KB on iriver. Codecs and plugins don't handle .ibss in a special way yet. * The init code properly handles empty sections now (except .stack, which should never be empty). * Unified the init code for SH1 and coldfire a bit.
