23d9812273 loader-initialized global plugin API: 
struct plugin_api *rb is declared in PLUGIN_HEADER, and pointed to by
__header.api

the loader uses this pointer to initialize rb before calling entry_point

entry_point is no longer passed a pointer to the plugin API

all plugins, and pluginlib functions, are modified to refer to the
global rb

pluginlib functions which only served to copy the API pointer are
removed

c6b3d38a15 New makefile solution: A single invocation of 'make' to build the entire tree. Fully controlled dependencies give faster and more correct recompiles. 
Many #include lines adjusted to conform to the new standards.

bd08aeed53 Video plugin: Fix OSD for font_height != 8. Don't fiddle with the framebuffer directly, but use the standard lcd drawing functions and lcd_update_rect() (in the ISR as required). OSD now displays for 1 second (0.5 seconds for buffer debug).

2f8a0081c6 Apply FS#9500. This adds a storage_*() abstraction to replace ata_*(). To do that, it also introduces sd_*, nand_*, and mmc_*. 
This should be a good first step to allow multi-driver targets, like the Elio (ATA/SD), or the D2 (NAND/SD).

46573019a5 add HAVE_DISK_STORAGE, and use that instead of HAVE_FLASH_STORAGE when checking for an actual disk (i.e. related to spindown, skipping,...)

68a21689ae Consistent naming scheme the various blit functions. * Removed lcd_blit_mono() for colour targets. Plugin API became incompatible, so sort, clean up & bump. * Implemented lcd_blit_mono() for M3.

c7f9ca4067 Accept FS#7264 'Build with -Os switch for coldfire targets'. 
Introduces MEM_FUNCTION_WRAPPERS(api) macro which adds wrappers 
functions to a plugin to make plugins link correctly when gcc
calls mem* functions directly.

a36b1d4083 New plugin loader. Solves the crashes introduced with the .bss changes while keeping the small binary size. The model & api version check is now part of the plugin loader. Codecs are not yet adapted, but the old method still works for them. Simulator plugins are not (yet) version-checked. API version numbering restarted, as this is an all-new system. Uses the target ID from configure, so don't change that too often.

e44372ef18 Moved implementation of user timer to the firmware layer, implemented it for iriver, and made it shareable based on priorities. On iriver, the user timer is shared between the backlight fading and other use, so if a plugin registers the timer, the backlight will resort to simple on/off switching until the plugin releases the timer again. Sorted and bumped the plugin api.

2a0d541a38 BUG FIX: Corrected the speed kludge for Ondio video playback. The previous solution changed the frame time directly in the file header structure, causing the changed value to be saved together with resume position, therefore destroying sync for any further playback.

e7a48977bf mp3_play_init() removed, this was resetting the sound settings. Playback is the normal state anyhow, we could remove this function from the plugin API.

c127509524 I knew this was going too fast with the new LCD function. Now contains a fix to control the speed to 71 fps, until I release the new A/V player.
