06a5299aff Do some crackdown on kernel object reinitialization after they could be in use and use before initialization. For c200/e200: Be sure fat cache and ata locks are acquired in the proper order during hot swapping. Delay hotswap monitoring until after initial file mounting (address 2nd kobj concern + possible call of fat driver before init).

2f5a37de5c Fix newly introduced race condition in SD driver. Make sure to force remount in case two SYS_HOTSWAP_INSERTED messages are received in a row. Be sure flags are reset to re-initialize the SD-card. Go back to locking out driver access during disk mount/unmount attempts.

e2f5f21e5b Give the Gigabeat S bootloader the ability to untar a tarball.
To test a build, use 'make tar' and send the tar to the unit. The bootloader will unarchive it and delete it before loading the main binary.
This is a temporary hack to make testing possible until we have a better way of sending a complete build.
Also enable writing to the disk by disabling the optimised write stubs.

054447f9e6 Commit FS#8379 by Andree Buschmann. Disables much of the remaining unneeded hardware on PP50xx targets (Ipods, Sansa, H10s, etc) resulting in a large savings in power and consequent increase in battery life. Results vary from target to target and from codec to codec, but we now approach the OF runtime on several PP devices. For now, leave base CPU clock at 30MHz, although further savings is possible with some codecs if clock is reduced. Additionally, fix battery capacity on c200 and use my measurements to improve runtime estimation for Sandisk targets.

- only 44.1kHz at the moment

6a56c14e17 Greyscale library: Changed the internal data format once more (separated pixel values and phases), allowing for further optimisation of drawing, scrolling etc. * Optimised grey phase blitting in the core reduces CPU load on all architectures, most significantly on coldfire. Previous version was too slow to keep up at 45MHz, leading to unwanted graininess (update frequency was halved). Also fixed screendump on 2bpp targets with vertical pixel packing.

e66ddd754f Initial commit for the Olympus m:robe 100 port (PP5020). The LCD driver works. feb5b15e9b All-new greyscale library, replacing the old one. Features: (1) Drawing/updating is faster than the old grayscale lib at full depth. (2) Always 129 shades instead of 2..33 shades. (3) No graininess caused by frequent updates (mpegplayer, doom, ...). (4) Needs less memory than the old grayscale lib at full depth. * The tradeoff is slightly higher CPU load in the ISR (frames are calculated 'live') and an extra function in the core. * Ported all plugins which used the graylib to use the new one. * Some slight optimisations for archos and H1x0 LCD update.

94be71eab5 Add a working serial driver to usb stack. At the moment it simply echos back what it gets. You can test it on linux by
0) change relevant defines in usb_core.c
1) modprobe usbserial vendor=0x0781 product=0x7421 debug=1
2) picocom /dev/ttyUSB0
3) look at your logf screen if you build with logf support and enabled LOGF_ENABLE define in usb_serial.c
I also modified usb_core so that storage and serial both can make use the the 'usb_core'-thread. More will come :)

9d4bed7ff0 Album art support. Based on FS#3045, but heavily modified to adapt to MoB and for cleanness.
The cover pictures are loaded from external bitmaps. JPEG and embedded art are not supported. The pictures will only be drawn on the main display. There is no resizing but it is possible to specify the WPS bitmap size in the bitmap names (e.g. cover.100x100.bmp).
The bitmaps are stored in the main buffer and read directly from there. Currently, duplicate bitmaps will simply be present several times in the buffer, but this will be improved.
To enable for a target, #define HAVE_ALBUMART in its config file.
For more information, see the wiki page: http://www.rockbox.org/wiki/AlbumArt.
