7042c96b4a Clip+: enable sound on "as3514" (as3543 in fact) 
as3525 comes with a as3517, as3525v2 with a as3543, rename specific
registers accordingly

Existing problems: FM (line out) doesn't work, volume can't go below a

b6c12a129e Submit FS#11065. Introduce a new system setting for en-/disabling the Line-out. For now only implemented on iPod Video. This allows to save power if the user does not use the player's Line-out. On iPod 5G the saving is ~0.5 mA.

7e6f124d4e revert r24478 and make the backdrop behaviour the same as it used to be (so when in the wps the sbs' backdrop will be fully disabled). Also changes the API back to having to manually set the current backdrop.

8a36f0bad4 Packard Bell Vibe 500: touchpad code rework. Improve touch sensivity a bit by setting the MEP parameters in the power_init() function. Implement new function in synaptics-mep driver (touchpad_set_parameter) necessary for it. Move the button lights code to the target backlight file.

0a16a99a69 fix a bug where the backdrop from the sbs is displayed on scrolling lines in the wps when the %wd tag is not used. 
I'm not crazy about this commit and maybe a better solution would be to outright disable the sbs backdrop when in any skinned screen. This then means backdrops go back to needing special handling (i.e they arnt "free")

6908cc5235 Merry Christmas Gogear HDD6330 owners! This is the start of the HDD6330 port. At the moment, it's essentially a copy of the HDD1630 port with a minimal LCD driver. The touchpad doesn't work as expected, but you can still kind of navigate and listen to music/radio.

c2617dc4ed Diacritic display enhancements 
- Use the fact that unicode code currently does not support chars above 0xffff
  (see utf8decode()), and change diacritic database's char code type to
  unsigned short from int. Also comment out database entries above unsupported
  range.

- Use const when possible.

- Iterate over buffer using the buffer's pointer, thus avoiding usage of some
  variables, and avoiding multiple access to the same array item.

7682cb5ca8 FS#10720 - Support for displaying diacritic characters 
This commit corrects the display of diacritic characters, which exist in many
languages. Hopefully, it will make Rockbox much more usable for users of these
languages.

Diacritic information (which used to decide whether a given character is
diacritic or not) is taken from the Unicode Standard, Version 5.2.

This feature does not affect drawing performance much, as the diacritic
database is cached (simple MRU mechanism).

There may be room for further performance, footprint, and
code-reuse wise improvements, that could be worked on in the future.

d85c3ec410 Convert lcd_activation callbacks to use the event system to allow for multiple parallel callbacks (for custom statusbar). 
Increase maximum event count as we need more (I actually had a report about it during custom statusbar testing).
Removed corresponding functions from the core and plugin api. Bump min version and sort.

a79dc87761 Add a center flag, next to the rtl flag, for viewports. That results in any text being drawn centered. It overrides the RTL flag if set. 
Simplify splashes and time menu by using it.

16ada4cb81 Initial support for runtime detection of the PMU used in newer D2+ models (PCF50635). The backlight and battery monitoring should work, but the RTC and touchscreen are not yet implemented.

7220cbb890 Fix a bug in a bidirectional text scrolling; s->offset doesn't need to be set when backward scrolling starts. This fixes bidirectional scrolling in

c8b87d76eb FS#10569 RTC driver cleanup 
Change the RTC drivers so that the rtc_(read|write)_datetime functions now deal directly with the tm struct instead of passing a string of bcd digits to/from (set|get)_time .
This simplifies drivers for rtc's that do not use a bcd representation internally and cleans up some target specific code and #ifdefs in generic code. Implement simple stubs for the sim to avoid #ifdefing for that too.
