ad4e3d6657 First step of charcell LCD code rework: * Make it fully unicode aware so that adding non-ISO8859-1 scripts becomes possible (limited by the LCD capabilities of course). * Make the API more similar to the bitmap LCD code's API. * Moved hardware dependent parts to target tree. * Simplified code. * Jumpscroll temporarily non-functional.

d64e626387 Start of work on a port to the Archos 'AV300' (AV320/340/380) - a working UI simulator (but with a dummy background image for now) and the beginnings of the target-specific firmare code. Port is temporarily using a 2bpp LCD buffer format - the AV300 has a 320x240 colour (YCbCr-based) LCD which will need a new framebuffer format and drawing routines, but the LCD is also capable of various paletted bitmap modes, one of which has an identical framebuffer format to the greyscale ipods. Buttons (and hence the button mappings) are identical to the Archos Recorder, with the exception that the PLAY button on the Recorder is replaced by pressing the joystick on the AV300 (which I call BUTTON_SELECT). The initial port will begin by being strictly HWCODEC, but will evolve to be a hybrid SWCODEC/HWCODEC platform - it has a MAS3587F but also a main CPU (54MHz arm7tdmi plus DSP) capable of software decoding of at least some formats.

24f4a2a8cf Allow the Sansa e200 UI simulator to be built. Thanks to Andre Smith for the nice image of the Sansa. Lots more to be done including testing and tweaking the keymaps and modifying the plugins for the Sansa's 176x220 LCD.

45e3eed60d FlipIt graphics rework: * Adjusted token sizes to make them fit better on the various LCDs (4 different sizes, a 5th size is planned). Correct aspect ratio for archos bitmap LCD. a36b1d4083 New plugin loader. Solves the crashes introduced with the .bss changes while keeping the small binary size. The model & api version check is now part of the plugin loader. Codecs are not yet adapted, but the old method still works for them. Simulator plugins are not (yet) version-checked. API version numbering restarted, as this is an all-new system. Uses the target ID from configure, so don't change that too often.

f894a4c269 4-shades greyscale graphics core for iriver H1x0. 4-grey rockbox logo and light grey background in splash() boxes. Simplified the splash() box creation as the new graphics core does clipping. Adapted screendump feature and added flexible preprocessing to construct the bmp header. Rockboy now uses 4-grey mode as well. 4-grey support for win32 simulator. Fixed win32 player sim to not use double bitmap conversion via a recorder-like framebuffer, and correctly display double-height text. X11 simulator temporarily adapted. The display won't be distorted, but it still shows b&w only.

b8c9a0caa3 Plugin fixes: Correct button name for MODE key in help texts, conforming to the manual & wiki documentation (Ondio plugins). Alternate image is selected with MINUS, not MENU (rockbox_flash for player). Shortened some help lines that didn't fit on the display with the default font (solitaire). Fixed a number of typos.

e35a658ded Plugin rework 2: (all) Compile-time keyboard configuration, for Ondio adaption. (all) Now using the default event handler, standard placement is now in switch() default case. (minesweeper,pong,snake,snake2) added USB handling. (mandelbrot,mosaique) Fixed return value. (minesweeper) fast moving with button repeat. (oscillograph) Fixed cleanup in USB case.
