3e489c14c1 Rename print_error() in ipodpatcher and sansapatcher. 
Both patchers use the same function name with one being removed when
building for rbutil. This gets in the way trying to move the patchers to
libraries, and it also results a linking dependency of sansapatcher on
ipodpatcher. Renaming the function makes both more self-contained and
avoids potential issues if the functions happen to not do the same.

20f3e646d8 Clean up mktccboot building. No functional changes. 
- Adjust the Makefile similar to the changes done in r23520.
- Split out the standalone part into a separate source file.
- Put telechips.o inside the archive instead of building it separately for rbutil. It is part of mktccboot.

0fa6eea2fb rbutil: Fix Cowon D2 bootloaderfile had no slash prefix. 
Also remove filename itseld as it is not being considered. The output patched
firmware filename is taken from the original firmware file.

8ed7a590ad Fix mktccboot to make Rockbox Utility compile again. 
- when building out-of-tree don't build objects in the tools folder.
- take out-of-tree building into account when looking for objects.
- don't lie to the user -- linking is not compiling.

ef9dfb89b8 Rework configuration dialog for TTS / Encoder values. 
The generated dialogs for encoder and TTS configuration didn't scale well and were missing icons. Use a grid layout so buttons are aligned properly now, remove the fixed width for buttongs (which breaks immediately if a label text is getting too long, especially when using a translation).

45c411e6c8 Rework rbutil deployment script. 
- When building from trunk or a tag, retrieve the sources to build from svn.
- Create a source archive as well.
- Default to building from trunk instead of using a local source copy.
- Disable creation of a source tarball when building from a local source tree.
- Build in the systems temporary folder when building with sources from svn.
- Display a short summary of the files created on success.
- Disable the use of ccache when building.

f65170f1df Add config option to disable ccache during build. 
When building releases in a temporary folder using ccache doesn't help, as the path of the source files is also used for identification. Disabling ccache makes it not cache objects that are likely to be never needed again (i.e. the next build will use a different file).

e2f5086916 Clean up and rename Detect class. 
Move check() function out of the Detect class and place it into utils.cpp for now. Rename Detect class to System, as it now only retrieves data about the underlying system and doesn't detect anything anymore. Cleans up with the confusion between Detect and Autodetection.

0b7bfb6270 Extend bootloader installation to accept alternatives for the destination filename. 
Remove the hardcoded special case for the H10 bootloader installation and uninstallation. Allow multiple bootloader filenames to be present and pick the existing one on (un)installation. This is also needed for easily adding support for the Samsung YH players (to make FS#10373 actually work).

059255705b Fix SCSI inquiry on W32. 
W32 returns additional bytes containing garbage on pages returning the maximum amount (i.e. 255) of bytes. Ignoring those bytes makes the output being correct. Someone needs to find out why those additional bytes are indicated at all.

1eca02d863 Add support (on Linux and win32 only - I couldn't figure this out on OS X) for reading the XML device information from ipods. This information includes the RAM size, which is potentially useful for rbutil to distinguish between the two ipod video builds. This is implemented as both a new --dump-xml option (to dump the entire XML to a file) and a new 'ramsize' field in struct ipod_t.

71f0814e52 Make ipodpatcher compile on *BSD and recent Linux distributions - htole16/htole32 are standard BSD functions, and they now also appear in glibc 2.9 or later on Linux. As the functions are so simple, we just rename to avoid a clash instead of attempting to use the library versions on some platforms. Same as fix provided in FS#10428 by Alyssa Milburn.

- Bump version to 1.0
- Add Clipv2 target
- Make mkamsboot work as a library (work by domonoky : FS#10185, with a few modifications by me)
  . Use a macro with variadic arguments for error cases in functions which might error.
  . Add detailed descriptions to functions exported by the library (in the header file)
- modify bin2c.c to produce only one pair of .c/.h files with several files embedded in it
- move files needing to be built by an ARM cross compiler into dualboot/
- commit produced .c/.h files (containing nrv2e_d8.S and dualboot.S built for Clip, Fuze, e200v2, c200v2, m200v4, Clipv2)
- Write a real README file
- cosmetics: indent dualboot.S properly, remove trailing spaces, limit lines to 80 characters
- comments: add/correct comments in dualboot.S and mkamsboot.c
- move back extract_fw.c to utils/AMS/hacking

132176e120 RFC2616 requires requests made to proxies to use the absoluteURI form while HTTP/1.1 clients shall only create it when sending a request to a proxy. Fixes proxy support not working correctly (most noticably on theme installation).

3d2e42ab4c Completely rework RbSettings class. 
- use a single member function for accessing a settings value.
- use an enum to figure the correct value in the settings file instead of functions.
- return the settings value as QVariant instead and leave converting to the caller.

d111f3b66f Qt always assumes ini files to use Latin1 encoding but the theme site uses utf-8. Explicitly convert texts displayed to the user. Fixes non-ascii characters showing up incorrectly. 
Replace some HTML entities for the themes list as that isn't parsed as HTML.

b9d8ae49d9 The credits file is utf-8 but QTextStream defaults to the system locale codec. Explicitly use utf-8 when reading the credits. Fixes names containing non-ASCII characters getting displayed wrong.

194fe0e6f0 Check configuration for validity in the configuration dialog. 
If the configuration is invalid display information about the issues and don't accept the values. Fixes issue reported in FS#9944.
