7d0d32dbc6 Nuke the never-functional iriver ifp-7xx port
It never worked, and hasn't compiled in something like a decade, Given
the HW capabilities (limited onboard flash, no expandability) there's
really no point in trying to fix/complete it.

3237ae4a4f LCD core move buf ptr and address look up function viewport struct
I'm currently running up against the limitations of the lcd_draw functions
I want these functions to be able to be used on any size buffer not
just buffers with a stride matching the underlying device

[DONE] allow the framebuffer to be decoupled from the device framebuffer
[DONE need examples] allow for some simple blit like transformations
[DONE] remove the device framebuffer from the plugin api
[DONE}ditto remote framebuffer
[DONE] remove _viewport_get_framebuffer you can call struct *vp = lcd_set_viewport(NULL) and vp->buffer->fb_ptr

while remote lcds may compile (and work in the sim) its not been tested on targets

[FIXED] backdrops need work to be screen agnostic

[FIXED] screen statusbar is not being combined into the main viewport correctly yet

[FIXED] screen elements are displayed incorrectly after switch to void*

[FIXED] core didn't restore proper viewport on splash etc.

[NEEDS TESTING] remote lcd garbled data

[FIXED] osd lib garbled screen on bmp_part

[FIXED] grey_set_vp needs to return old viewport like lcd_set_viewport

[FIXED] Viewport update now handles viewports with differing buffers/strides by copying to the main buffer

[FIXED] splash on top of WPS leaves old framebuffer data (doesn't redraw)
[UPDATE] refined this a bit more to have clear_viewport set the clean bit and have skin_render do its own screen clear
scrolling viewports no longer trigger wps refresh
also fixed a bug where guisyncyesno was displaying and then disappearing

[ADDED!] New LCD macros that allow you to create properly size frame buffers in you desired size without wasting bytes
(LCD_ and LCD_REMOTE_)
LCD_STRIDE(w, h) same as STRIDE_MAIN
LCD_FBSTRIDE(w, h) returns target specific stride for a buffer W x H
LCD_NBELEMS(w, h) returns the number of fb_data sized elemenst needed for a buffer W x H
LCD_NATIVE_STRIDE(s) conversion between rockbox native vertical and lcd native stride (2bitH)
test_viewports.c has an example of usage

[FIXED!!] 2bit targets don't respect non-native strides
[FIXED] Few define snags

f5b7134f59 Consolidate identical fixedpoint exp and ln functions.
grey_core.c and fixedpoint.c each had their own copies. grey_core.c
can use the ones fixedpoint.c. fixedpoint.c gets the more complete and
optimized version of fp_16exp from grey_core.c.

371c86bf3f Adapt OSD in plugin lib to be greylib compatible.
Requires addition of viewports and alternate framebuffers to greylib
which are essentially similar to the core implementation except that
the framebuffer can be any size and relationship to a viewport. Drawing
is always fully clipped to the intersecting area.

Adapt oscilloscope.c to the API change. FFT will use the new features
(later update).

Get rid of silly and wrong lcd_bmp_part use in OSD. Remove it from
plugin API (must be made incompatible now).

1d6df54df2 Convert a number of places in core and plugins to use the BIT_N() macro instead of 1<<n. Speeds up things on SH1, and also reduces core binsize. Most notable speedups: 1 bit lcd driver: drawpixel +20%, drawline + 27%, hline +5%; jpeg viewer: +8% for 1/8 scaling. Other targets are unaffected.

11ad7b4bc8 Move screendump from apps to firmware, solving two nasty firmware-to-apps calls. This required to move the filename creation functions as well. * Fix bug in the BMP header of Clip screendumps. * Add remote screendump for targets with an LCD remote. * Simplify some ifdefs and rename a macro in the sim.

309a3c4590 More compact screendump routines for core and greylib. The core routine might be a little slower for vertically packed mono and greyscale displays, the greylib one should be faster in all cases. * Reduce stack usage of greyscale screendump on the Clip* Rename a macro in the bitmap LCD simulation.

0d935ce75e Put the display colours for monochrome and greyscale targets into the target config files, and use them both for the simulator UI and screendumps. The Clip now shows the split display properly in screendumps and simulator. A side effect is that screendumps of ordinary monochrome targets are now 4-bit BMP files (saves an alternate code path, and might be more compatible with some gfx programs). * Simplify the simulation of split display, and also simplify greylib simulation. The simulator now always calculates 129 shades (2*128 for a Clip sim), and just uses 2 (or 4) of those for native display simulation. * Centralised the simulator LCD dimension definition.

5c87a98b97 Greyscale library: * Implement linearisation curve flipping for 1st/2nd Gen iPods (LCD is inverted when backlight is on, so the curve is also inverted). feb5b15e9b All-new greyscale library, replacing the old one. Features: (1) Drawing/updating is faster than the old grayscale lib at full depth. (2) Always 129 shades instead of 2..33 shades. (3) No graininess caused by frequent updates (mpegplayer, doom, ...). (4) Needs less memory than the old grayscale lib at full depth. * The tradeoff is slightly higher CPU load in the ISR (frames are calculated 'live') and an extra function in the core. * Ported all plugins which used the graylib to use the new one. * Some slight optimisations for archos and H1x0 LCD update.
