alac.c Remove the mallocs for the codecdata in the m4a parser and assume a maximum size of 64 bytes (see comments in source). Also clean up the alac_set_info() function a little and make it alignment-safe. We still need to remove the seektable related mallocs. Please report if any AAC or ALAC files stop playing in Rockbox after this commit - but it is not expected to cause problems. 2007-12-01 01:01:35 +00:00
decomp.h Added macros controlling what goes to IRAM on different targets. 2006-11-09 21:59:27 +00:00
Makefile Update several codec Makefiles so that the codec libs build again on Coldfire targets, after the recent move of system-related things to the target tree. (Note to admins: make errors aren't detected on the CVS build page. :)) 2006-10-30 18:14:12 +00:00

INSTALLATION:
-------------

Simply compile by running 'make'

USAGE:
------

Then run the program, it will give you usage instructions.

It's really quite trivial to use.

For example, to decode input.m4a to output.wav:
./alac -f output.wav input.m4a

Or, as another example, say if you wanted to stream play
http://www.mplayerhq.hu/MPlayer/samples/A-codecs/lossless/luckynight.m4a
and you're system uses the ALSA sound system:
wget -O - http://www.mplayerhq.hu/MPlayer/samples/A-codecs/lossless/luckynight.m4a | ./alac - | aplay

By default the output file is in WAV format. To output as raw PCM, provide the
-r option on the command line.
