d3e783b268 Fix the Sansa AMS SD driver
- Make write_sectors() function fail.
- Disable interrupts while transferring data and do not yield(), so we are sure the FIFO is not overflowed
Note this solution is only temporary since it's not friendly to other threads and confuse kernel tick precision
This will be reverted when we will be using DMA to access the SD card, but for now it permits further development
- PL180: Rename the MMC_* registers into MCI_*, to not make people believe it is a MMC only controller
- Supports non aligned destination buffers when reading
- Correct the timeout units which were lamely copied from ata-sd-pp.c and were in milliseconds (note that the timeouts are disabled now)
- Higher a bit the stack size
- Use the full initialization procedure in the bootloader and the loaded firmware
- Use the CCU_IO register only when a SD slot is present
- Put some panicf() around to catch problems

93f3367f42 Telechips NAND: much improved read reliability on D2/iAudio7. More work is required for M200/DAX, but an improvement is evident nonetheless. LPT buffers are now buffer_alloc'd after determining the required size, so most targets should also see a healthy reduction in RAM usage.

This should be a good first step to allow multi-driver targets, like the Elio (ATA/SD), or the D2 (NAND/SD).

b1a584a1b6 Simplify & fix the MMC driver. After more than 3 years I found that the MMC specs were a bit misleading, and the 'large' MMC which state a block size of 1024 or 2048 bytes and no partial read and/or partial write capability are happily accepting a block size of 512 bytes. So go KISS and remove all the variable/partial block handling code. This fixes the driver for the Transcend 4GB MMCplus, which doesn't cope when we actually set the 2048 byte block size it states. It also makes write operations involving small blocks faster and more reliable. * Note: The 4GB Transcend still doesn't work when plugged at boot, but works when hotplugged.

22e7bf32b8 My Devcon 2008 contribution: port for Philips GoGear HDD1630 (PP5022-based). bdbdb97f19 FS#9051 - remove LCD margins... use viewports if you need them...
NOTE to WPS people....
%m has been removed, but (i think) because of the other %m tags it wont fail if you try loading a wps with %m|..|, it will just be ignored.
Also note that if the statusbar is enabled the default viewport is 8 pixels shorter than when its not, i.e (0,0) is really (0,8) if the statusbar is shown... I dont think this will be a major issue because almost no WPS show the bar and use bitmaps... text only WPS shouldnt be affected.

Please report problem screens in http://forums.rockbox.org/index.php?topic=17358.0

cda664b701 MC13783 (Gigabeat S PMIC): Complete the header file. Distinguish status, sense and mask bit defines to avoid conflicts within the definitions. Much care taken but give a double check before making new use of anything.

808568983d Forgot about the buttonlights. Removing for now since this will not work properly if the buttonlights are set to a time longer than the backlight.

009cebeab2 Straigten-out lcd sleeping on Gigabeat F/X. Add a service function to backlight.c to handle lcd sleep timer. Make HAVE_LCD_SLEEP useable without a setting and use HAVE_LCD_SLEEP_SETTING when a setting is available in addition to HCD_HAVE_SLEEP. If a setting isn't used, the target must define the timeout to be used in the config.

6e322c8786 Reduce power consumed on the F/X by as much as 12% when the LCD is disabled. Timing is tighter on the SPI interface, if the screen does not come up let me know and we can space it out more - Works on the devices I tested. There will be a brief time (around 15ms) that the screen is all white after coming back on.
