68af7bae87 Added ability to adjust the volume during playback. 
Gracefully fail if no soundset installed.
Yet more messing with the ramping code. I swear, that will be the end of
me.
Basic skipping support- skip foreward a bit if Right is pressed.

b9615514bf Hopefully fix some old audio playing during manual track skip w/o crossfade. Worst case was 1/5 second of audio from pcmbuflen bytes later than the playign position of the old track would play.

28b5afd05a Optimize synth code by pre-computing the volume scaling for each note. 
Scaling is now calculated once per MIDI event at the most, instead of
once per sample. Increase voice ramping speed, increase number of
active voices a little.

a3be63d225 iPod: Bass/Treble settings need 5 bits, not 4 - fixes bug report #5276. This also increases the CONFIG_BLOCK_VERSION on all platforms - this will reset your settings.

b2f1b5dd18 ---------------------------------------------------------------------- 
Added Karl Kurbjun's sound output patch, cleaned up some output.
Main file is now midiplay.c, midi2wav is still in there for anyone who
wants it. Set sampling rate to 22k, and increased note decay time.
Reduced number of concurrent active voices and made new notes replace
used voices if none are available. This makes lag less apparent.
I really hope this wont go red. (turns around and runs)

6488177d05 Init voice before audio because audio needs to know the voice buffer size. Seems to fix the occasional freeze at startup (if voice is used), and also seems to fix voice eating itself after playback.

07fcf77cb0 Patch #5056 by Jonathan Gordon, with rework and additions by me: Updated Viewer plugin. Replaces annoying mode-toggle key-combos with a settings menu, including a new 'Scroll by Line' option. I've also added a 'hands-free' auto-scroll feature and added lcd_setmargins to the plugin API, since we need it here.

8e71f90940 The recording buffer should not try to use the voice buffer, so map our buffer after it. On swcodec targets, recording always uses this buffer so always notify the others that we did. Fixes bug 4754.

a1db431d50 Updated vkeyboard. For players that require the user to scroll the cursor off the keyboard in order to edit the line itself (iPods, iAudio..), the line is now inverted when in line-edit mode. For all models: blinking line cursor.

8a0ea50ee2 Updated pitch screen again. *Back to old behavior of only coming up on ON+UP/DOWN (Archos) or PLAY+UP/DOWN (iriver) - fixes FS#4928. *Button mappings changed: Up/Down = +/- 0.1%; holding Up/Down = +/- 2%; Left/Right = 'temporary' +/- 2% (old behavior). *SWCODEC: pcmbuf_set_low_latency, now you can hear pitch adjustments quicker. *Broke pitchscreen code into two parts; one to draw and one to deal with buttons.

2b18727a8a Fix dir skipping with new playback arch. Enable dir skipping on ipod with a couple of difficult combos (select|right/left) or short-long left / short-long right. The latter causes stuck in pause sometimes.

98097d23ec Misc. minor fixes: Guarantee aligned buffer. Enable load-codec-from-disk if a new track requires a different codec than the playing track, but does not already have it on the buffer. Stop playback immediately on a manual track skip. Handle seeking a distance greater than the size of the audio buffer. Enforce the 'no malloc for voice codec'.

b61e263219 Move the battery min/max capacity to player config files and add an increment setting (amount of mAh to increase/decrease by in the settings menu) for more precise battery value tweaking/limiting per-model. This allows the proper range for iAudio X5 - 950mAh, or 2250mAh for the X5L.

fbe74d1df6 Fix one cause of buffer-offness, but I'm pretty sure this is not the cause of problems that people are having as the debug code I put in detects and corrects it. Make taginfo instead of stupid filename appear on manual track skip, off buffer (stupid bug).

0744e760cb Ensure that the buffer doesn't get out of sync on rebuffer track changes. Remove the concept of pcmuf_boost_mode as it doesn't seem necessary, and adds an unnecessary way for the CPU to stay boosted.

c95044a9c1 Track skipping rework more. This seems to handle rapid skipping very gracefully without compromising buffer safety. There may still be a potentially broken code path if the user does a very rapid skip, stop sequence, and I will be sure to investigate this. Due to Slasheri's concern, reimplement rapid GUI update for track skipping in a safe way.
